It’s Friday and today has been a long day and the conclusion to a long week! Today, I gave my first speech in a 2nd path in Toastmasters; I launched the audio version in my podcast; I reconciled two of my financial accounts for the month of July. We had a new client come in to film a podcast. We had unexpected dinner plans with friends who have been away much of the summer. It’s been a long but rewarding day but I am still committed to following through even when I’m tired.

Honestly, the last thing I want to do is sit here at almost 11pm at night on a Friday to write this article. But, I made a commitment this month to write a blog each day. I follow through on my commitments. I believe that how we do one thing is how we do everything. If I don’t follow through on this then what’s next?

Are You Following Through?

Is there something in your life that you’re not following through on? It often starts with something small and then grows and expands in your life. For me, I intentionally stay committed to my goals. Could I skip one blog in a 31-day month? Absolutely, but then I wouldn’t be fully committed to my goal.

Even when I’m tired, it is putting one foot in front of the other as I walk forward step by step. It’s the small details that really add up to BIG things. I encourage anyone reading this to commit to at least one thing each moth and still to it. Maybe its health related like eliminating sugar. Maybe its exercise related like walking at least a mile everyday. Or maybe its business related. Whatever it is, stay committed and keep yourself in integrity.
