Dr. Hepsharat Amadi was always drawn to the holistic world of medicine. In creating her holistic practice, she helps her patients maintain their health instead of treat disease. We discuss how the Western Medical System, Health Insurance and Pharmaceutical companies focus solely on disease and not keeping the patient healthy in order to avoid disease. She had to overcome her fear of starting a business because in her mind, she was NOT an entrepreneur but a Doctor.

Host Bio: Allison Turner owns both BatCat Media Group and Dream Plan Start Grow, which is a subsidiary of BatCat. She loves working with entrepreneurs through business coaching and marketing to make their vision and business shine. One of her true passions is working with new business owners and those looking to start a business on bringing their vision and brand to life. She loves exploring the entrepreneurial journey with each of her guests to educate new business owners and potential business owners on the journey of entrepreneurship.

Guest Bio: Dr. Amadi has always been interested in holistic health care, nutrition, and psychology. Both of her parents were journalists who trained her to analyze information, read between the lines, and be conscious of whose interest might be involved in getting that information. This is why her point of view may not always be that of conventional doctors. She also attributes her perspective to her wider education on health than traditionally trained medical doctors are usually exposed to.

She graduated from S.U.N.Y. at Stony Brook Medical School in 1987, where she won honors in Family Practice and a prize for a paper she wrote on public health policy. She did her family practice residency at Bronx Lebanon Hospital. While in medical school, she had served as student representative to the American Association of Family Physicians. In 1990, upon finishing her residency, she moved to Miami and worked for one year as assistant faculty in the Family Practice Department at Jackson Memorial Hospital.

In May of 2001, after not being paid for a month at the practice she was working, she opened her own private practice, utilizing what is best in Chinese and Western medicine. To further her education, she attended seminars in and utilized various energy medicine techniques which involved applied kinesiology, including N.A.E.T. (Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Technique), Neuro Modulation Technique (by Leslie Feinberg, D.C.) and Neuro Emotional Technique (by Scott Walker, D.C.).

In August of 2003, she began utilizing the EPFX (known in Europe as the QXCI or the SCIO) as my main modality of assessment and treatment. This type of biofeedback, based on the principles of quantum physics, has been truly revolutionary in terms of its wide array of energy medicine programs (for example, acupuncture meridian balancing and homeopathy), and also its ability to identify trends in a patient at the energetic level, before these changes might actually result in changes at the biochemical level (detectable in blood labs) or changes in the structural level (detectable on the physical exam, x-rays, or scans).

In creating a holistic practice, she practices from a place of health as opposed to treating disease. She keeps her patients healthy by using quantum biofeedback (=EPFX), the finest nutritional supplements and herbs, lifestyle counseling, and also by referring patients to the appropriate allied health practitioners. She only uses Western medicine where it is appropriate and necessary in order to stabilize the patient, thus giving more time for natural methods time to work.
