
Troy Rand is passionate about doing the hard things first. He went back to school at age 30 and worked straight through to achieve his PhD. He focuses his daily business habits on doing the hard things first. He isn’t afraid to share his journey with his clients and others in the community because doing the hard things first allows you to accomplish more and go further in life.
Host Bio: Allison Turner is the owner of BatCat Media Group, and its subsidiary Dream Plan Start Grow. Her passion lies in assisting entrepreneurs with business coaching and marketing to help bring their vision and business to fruition. She particularly enjoys working with new business owners, guiding them in developing their brand and bringing their vision to life. Allison’s love for entrepreneurship is evident in her desire to educate potential and new business owners about the journey of entrepreneurship. Through exploration and sharing of experiences, she hopes to empower and equip aspiring entrepreneurs with the knowledge they need to succeed.
Guest Bio: Troy Rand, PhD, CSCS, PN Level 1, has been interested in health and fitness since he was very young, playing sports and participating in martial arts. He started taking exercise science classes when he was 19 years old and couldn’t afford a personal trainer. In his mid 20’s he became a recreational marathon and ultra-marathon runner, who also loved to lift weights. He started Crossfit training in 2009 and shortly after started personal training and coaching Crossfit and Crossfit endurance classes. He went back to school at 30 years old and worked straight through to earn a PhD in exercise science with an emphasis in biomechanics. After graduating he moved with his wife and two young boys to South Florida. He started South Florida Fitness to continue sharing my passion for health and fitness and to help make a difference in the lives of people he gets to work with.
