What’s the greatest challenge to owning a business? Is it knowing the right strategy, creating the right products/services, marketing the right way? I would venture to say one of the most important if not THE MOST IMPORTANT aspects of owning a business is the mindset of the business owner. I’ve met countless entrepreneurs who have gone into business for themselves and suddenly started to panic. Have you as a business owner ever woken up in the middle of the night in shear panic on how you are going to pay some invoice or pay an employee or pay yourself? You are not alone. I’ve been there and others have been there.

Keep Your Eye on the Prize
The prize isn’t necessarily a place to arrive at because as a business owner, you are never done. As you develop your daily routine, you will find that you accomplish one goal only to create the next one. The business owner who is able to keep a 30,000 foot view on their business will always keep things in perspective. Life is always about ups and downs and so is business. Don’t sweat the small mistakes or the missed contracts; instead be grateful to learn and grow as your business grows and thrives.
Small steps like these do not mean that you will never have a bad day or feel stress. This daily practice allows you to bounce back faster, see the big picture and be thankful for the challenges while learning and growing into the next step of your business.
